Where do we meet for the class in the Domain?
Go to Macquarie Street at the top of Martin Place, walk through the hospital grounds and the class is conducted on the grass on the other side.
Where do we meet in the Royal Botanic Gardens?
If you are standing on the Opera House steps, opposite is a set of stairs, walk up the stairs and along the path for 50 metres and the class is conducted there on the grass.
Where do we meet in Observatory Hill?
Next to the Rotunda in the middle of the park.

Do I need to have my own gloves? Do you have to buy your own equipment?
What do I wear?
We supply all equipment including Inners, Gloves and Pads. If you prefer to purchase your own equipment, you can do this through Box Class also. Participants simply wear exercise clothing that is comfortable and cool.
Can I wear my own Gloves?
Yes
Do you have to commit to the one class and location or can you alternate the timeslots and parks?
You do not have to commit to one timeslot or location. You can attend any of the scheduled sessions in any of the park locations. You can book into different days, timeslots and park locations to suit your working lifestyle. We do ask however that you let us know which class you intend on attending.
Can I bring a friend along?
Absolutely. If you have any one in your network who you think might also enjoy BOX CLASS, please invite them along. As per our ‘Bring a Friend, Train for Free’ promotion, if you bring someone that has not done a BOX CLASS before, both you and your friend can enjoy the class complimentary.
Can I split a class pass with a friend?
There is no splitting of passes between members. Class passes are available to reward those that attend regularly with a discount. If you think you may not be able to attend regularly at least once a week then it may be best to pay casually when you attend.
I have not done any boxing before, can I join a class anyway?
Absolutely. No Experience is necessary and the trainer’s will guide you through every step.
Are your classes similar to Boot Camp?
No. There is no military yelling or instructing and we will not be training you to become a reserve. You will work with a partner and combine boxing movements with a cardio workout.
What do the classes consist of?
Each session will start with an arm and upper body warm up, performed with a partner of similar fitness levels to you. There is a series of combination punching rounds and cardio exercises. The class will conclude with some abdominal work.
I can’t run as I have bad knees, bad back or some type of injury, Can I still be involved in the class?
Yes. All participants must give detail of any injury they are concerned with and our trainer’s will instruct an alternate exercise movement tailored to you personally, in the case that the rest of the group are running or jumping.
Do I have to Book?
Yes, an email, call or text will confirm your position. A booking is essential so that we can inform you if the class is cancelled and so that we have enough equipment for all participants. If you cannot make it, we do not penalise you for booking and not attending.
I would like to organise a Private Group, How does that work?
Box Class specialise in private boxing groups that encourage team building. Get 7 or more people together and we will train you on a day, time and location of your choice. You will commit to 12 session’s and be supplied with a BoxClass exercise shirt. Contact Alyson for help on hour to round up your work colleagues for Box Class.
Do you do any Kick Boxing?
No.
What happens if it rains?
If the class has to be cancelled due to bad weather, you will receive an email and text message, at least 1 hour before the session time. If you don’t hear from us, presume the class is on.
